On July 13, 1588, Henry de Navarra, the future king of France, arrived in the coastal town of La Rochelle to prepare for a challenge: the most important battle. In this battle, Henry IV won and was thus appointed King of France. After the successful victory, the future king sent a letter to Bonaventure Godet to personally thank for the cognac that accompanied him during his battle.
The Godet Hors d’age Renaissance is a particularly rare cognac and only available in limited quantities. This cognac Renaissance from Godet is a sensual cognac for connoisseurs.
This Godet Hors d’age Renaissance Grande Champagne is therefore a royal cognac that knows how to convince with its harmony and balance. The fine tannins combine in the taste with a hint of mountain air, honey and figs. Even the filling in the noble crystal decanter decorated with gold looks royal and with the gift box everyone gets a piece of history.
The traditional house Godet is one of the few cognac houses that has made it its goal to bring back to life the original grape variety of cognac, the Folle Blanche. To date, only 300 hectares of vineyards of the 84,000-hectare area have remained. The special feature is the low acidity, which distinguishes the brand even at a young age with a great softness.
