Glenlochy Vintage 1980 Signatory Rare Reserve Whiskey 51.1% ABV 0.70l
Glenlochy has not existed since 1983. Shortly after the distillery closed, the main building was irreparably damaged and had to make way for office buildings. The already rare malts from this distillery are becoming increasingly rare. With the 1980s, Signatory has managed to get hold of a really exclusive water of life. The Glenlochy is bottled in natural colour, without chill filtration, naturally at cask strength. Limited to 218 bottles worldwide.
Tasting Notes
Nose : initially a slightly oily scent of very old leather; where the fruity nuances are already hinted at.
Palate : An explosion of fruity bits of pineapple and sweet-spicy black pepper follows, completely filling the mouth.
Finish : slightly dry and long finish
