Dalmore Constellation Collection Vintage 1992 Cask 18 with 0.7l and 53.8% vol.
This whiskey, distilled at The Dalmore in 1992, has had quite an eventful storage period. First poured into a first-fill Kentucky Bourbon barrel made of Quercus Alba, i.e. American white oak, and let it rest for 10 years. Then came the move in 2002. European oak (Quercus Robur) port pipes became the resting place of this Constellation bottling for the next 9 years. The finest Ruby Port from Oporto had previously been stored in the barrels and the whiskey made good use of these 9 years.
All in all, the Dalmore 1992 Constellation was allowed to mature for 19 years and in the end the barrel turned into a total of 737 bottles, of which we would like to offer you the illustrious No. 2.
Color: Deep mahogany gold and shimmering highlights of reddish amber.
Nose: Ripe plums, citrus and marzipan with hints of ginger spice, mango and grape pomace.
Palate: Sweet pears, jam with fruit peel, dark chocolate and ground almonds.
