Littlemill 25 YO Single Malt Whiskey in wooden case 50.4% vol. 0.70l
The Private Cellar Edition is kept in a high-quality wooden container, which not only houses the fine wine itself, but also a piece of the stave in which the whiskey matured and contains a 5cl miniature bottle. The single malt whiskey matured in American/European oak and first fill Oloroso sherry casks. Limited to 1,500 bottles worldwide and 45 bottles in Germany. The Littlemill Distillery no longer exists. Littlemill was a distillery in the Scottish Lowlands that – like so many others – went out of business in the 1990s and – to make matters worse – was completely wiped out by a fire in 2004.
Tasting Notes
Nose : perfectly balanced and round, with delicate sweet notes of sherried sultanas, forest honey, vanilla and spicy malt; followed by aromas of candied citrus, freshly sliced ginger and wood smoke
Palate : strong (you can tell its 50.4% vol.) but creamy, excellently balanced, nuances of sherry, cocoa and exotic fruits are wonderfully caressed by black pepper, light smoke and a hint of peat
Finish : a very long and smooth finish
